How to Make Matcha

Step-By-Step On how to make the drink we all love. 

Step-1

Measure

Use about 1-2 grams of matcha depending on your preference.

Step-2

Sift the Powder

For the best results sift matcha into the rifht sized bowl for whisking in order to remove clumps.

Step-3

Heat Water

Heat water and let it cool to about
75–80°C (170–176°F) hotter water will ruin the flavour

Step-4

Add Little Bit of Water

Pour about 15-25 ml of the hot water to make a smooth paste with the matcha.

Step-5

Whisk

Add the remaining water (60-80ml) and whisk in a rapid zig zag pattern until frothy.

Step-6

Serve

Add your milk to a cup (warm or chilled) pour your matcha in, stir and enjoy 💚

Quick Notes

Typical Matcha Proportions:

1-2 g Matcha Powder + 60-80 ml water at 75-80 C

Iced Matcha

Sift 1-2 tsp of matcha into a jar add 2-3 tbsp cold water, whisk until dissolved add 6-8 oz milk and ice and stir.

Make it a

Matcha Latte

1. Sift 1-2 grams of matcha + 1-2 tbsp hot water and whisk till smooth

2. Steam/ heat milk or milk alternative, sweeten and whisk till your liking

3. Pour milk into the matcha paste and stir till combined
